    20th Anniversary Mautner Project Gala

This is a very special year: it’s the 20th anniversary of Mautner Project!  The annual gala is Mautner Project’s largest fundraiser and has helped to keep our organization strong so that we can continue to improve the health and well-being of our community through research, advocacy, education and our signature program of direct service to lesbians with cancer.

I hope we can count on your support – particularly vital this year – and accept this invitation to become a sponsor of “20/20 Perfect Vision” -- Mautner Project’s 20th Anniversary Gala.  The gala will take place at the Omni Shoreham hotel in Washington, DC on Saturday, March 20, 2010.

    http://gala.mautnerproject.org/gala_promo

The premier women’s event in DC, and a highlight of the LGBT social calendar in Washington, the Mautner Project gala brings together some 1000 or more individuals and companies from the LGBT community, and our friends, families and allies, for a celebratory evening. We enjoy entertainment, a cocktail reception, stellar silent and live auctions, an elegant seated dinner– and lots of dancing.

The gala is a celebration, but it’s also an occasion to inspire our community to take good care of themselves and of each other. And, of course, it raises much-needed funds.

This year, more than any other, we need the generous support of our friends.

We commit ourselves to thanking you publically and often and getting your name out there -- We advertise the event extensively through e-mail, the Mautner Project website (www.mautnerproject.org), numerous ads in local media including the Washington Blade, and printed invitations mailed to approximately 5,000 individuals. Our gala co-chairs this year are Mr. Glen Ackerman, of Ackerman Legal, Ms. Francki DiFrancesco of Nationwide Home Mortgage, and Dr. Linda Spooner, Chair of the Mautner Project Board of Directors.

The enclosed brochure will tell you much more.
